Job summary

CSL is seeking a Custodian to maintain a clean and orderly collection center environment and support daily operations. The role includes cleaning, basic maintenance, recycling, safe handling of supplies and adherence to HSE/OSHA policies.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 months of custodial experience. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and may require bilingual abilities, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience as a custodian is preferred (3 months).
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to see and communicate with customers and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans tables, chairs, cabinets, counters and appliances in break room and donor waiting area.
• Vacuums carpets, dusts furniture and removes trash.
• Cleans windows and doors daily.
• Performs minor maintenance like changing bulbs, painting, basic plumbing and carpentry.
• Monitors grounds and parking areas and picks up litter.
• Assists in recycling and repackaging shipping materials.
• Inspects and cleans restrooms; replaces paper and soap.
• Receives supplies from vendors and moves them to storage and quarantine areas.
• Maintains clean work environment and ensures supplies available; follows HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintains confidentiality of personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas.
• Bilingual skills may be required.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
