Job summary

CSL is seeking a on-site Custodian at our Florida collection center. The role ensures a clean, orderly environment and supports daily center operations, including basic maintenance and safety compliance.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 months of custodian experience. You will handle routine cleaning, supply handling, and minor repairs while upholding confidentiality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.
• Must be able to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Cleans tables, chairs, cabinets, counters and appliances in the break room and donor waiting area.
• Vacuums carpets, dusts furniture and removes trash.
• Cleans windows and doors daily.
• Performs minor maintenance tasks like changing bulbs, replacing ceiling tiles, painting, minor plumbing and carpentry.
• Monitors grounds and parking lots and picks up litter as required.
• Assists in recycling and repackaging shipping materials.
• Inspects and cleans restrooms; replaces paper and soap supplies.
• Receives supplies from vendors and moves them to storage and release areas.
• Maintains a clean, efficient work environment and ensures supplies and forms are available.
• Follows HSE and OSHA policies and promotes safety.
• Maintains confidentiality of personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organization’s discretion.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
