Job summary

The City of Greer is seeking a diligent custodial/maintenance worker to clean and maintain City buildings and jail facilities. The role involves operating cleaning equipment, performing basic repairs, and ensuring sanitary conditions throughout work areas.

Hours are 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with additional hours as needed. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a valid SC driver’s license and a commitment to safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Experience in custodial or maintenance duties preferred.
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean interior of City buildings and jail including floors, bathrooms, and windows.
• Perform general maintenance such as lighting and plumbing repairs.
• Operate cleaning equipment and materials safely.
• Maintain cleanliness of walls, furniture, and restrooms.
• Communicate with supervisor and assist with daily tasks.
• Attend required trainings and adhere to policies.
• Support other staff and represent the City professionally.
