Job summary

The State of South Carolina is seeking a custodial staff member to clean, sanitise and maintain multiple facilities across the campus. The role involves detailed floor care, restroom sanitation and waste disposal, with extensive square footage of tile and carpet to service daily.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, custodial experience, the ability to pass a background check and hold a valid SC driver's license.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial, housekeeping or pest control related to the job area.
• Pass a background check for access to base.
• Possess and maintain a valid South Carolina driver's license.
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Cleans offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, rest rooms, elevators and stairways.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors.
• Disposes of trash and waste.
• Cleans 31+ facilities with extensive floor and surface areas.
• Responsible for cleaning latrines, toilets, urinals and showers.
• Skilled in custodial tasks and use of cleaning hand tools.
