Job summary

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in building trades, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to read blueprints and manuals. The role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years in building trades experience.
• Experience leading a technician team.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read blueprints and manuals.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with 3-year MVR.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, delegate, and supervise the technician team while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Perform and support general building maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, painting, doors, windows, roofing systems, and facility structures.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment including engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery.
• Inspect equipment and components, identify issues, replace defective parts, and test equipment after repairs.
• Assist with construction, alterations, and repairs involving wood, plaster, steel, concrete, brick, and other materials.
• Maintain facility grounds through lawn care, landscaping, snow removal, and other seasonal responsibilities.
• Operate lifts, grounds maintenance equipment, light- to medium-duty trucks, chain hoists, and overhead cranes.
• Partner with customers, supervisors, and engineering teams to identify opportunities to improve facility safety and efficiency.
• Follow OSHA, NFPA, EPA and company safety requirements.
• Continue developing technical skills and applying new methods and technologies.
