Job summary

The Mennel Milling Company in Fostoria, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to join our 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM shift. You will help keep plant equipment reliable, safe, and efficient while supporting strict food-safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a technical/industrial credential, and 5+ years in flour milling or related manufacturing. You will troubleshoot, weld, fabricate, and operate cranes and hoists in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus a 2-year technical/industrial credential.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in flour milling, food processing, or related manufacturing.
• Strong troubleshooting, welding and fabrication skills; valid driver's license; computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment to maximize plant reliability.
• Perform preventive maintenance, welding, fabrication, equipment installation, and testing.
• Support GMP, OSHA, HACCP, and FSMA requirements while maintaining an audit-ready facility.

What You'll Do

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving the reliability, safety, and performance of plant equipment, machinery, and processing systems while supporting food safety and operational excellence.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment to maximize plant reliability and efficiency.
• Performing preventive maintenance, welding, fabrication, equipment installation, and equipment testing to ensure safe and effective operation.
• Supporting food safety, GMP, OSHA, HACCP, and FSMA requirements while maintaining an audit-ready facility and clean work environment.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent and a 2-year degree or educational equivalent in a technical or industrial field such as electronics, mechatronics, mechanics, welding, automation, or a related field.
• Preferred minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in flour milling, food processing, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, welding and fabrication experience, valid driver's license, computer proficiency, and the ability to operate lifts, hoists, and overhead cranes.
