Job summary

The Mennel Milling Company in Fostoria, OH, is seeking a BMP Crew Leader to lead a technician team and oversee building maintenance, safety, and reliability. This is a full-time role with a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule; hours may vary with workload.

You will manage repairs, equipment, and grounds, collaborate with supervisors and engineering, and drive continuous improvement in facility safety and efficiency. A strong mechanical aptitude and leadership experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 5 years building trades experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or team-lead experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with solid mechanical aptitude.
• General knowledge of building construction, maintenance, repair, and facility systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, delegate, and supervise the technician team while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Perform and support general building maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, painting, doors, windows, roofing systems, and facility structures.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment including engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery.
• Inspect equipment and components, identify issues, replace defective parts, and test equipment following repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Assist with construction, alterations, and repairs involving wood, plaster, steel, concrete, brick, and other building materials.
• Maintain facility grounds through lawn care, landscaping, snow removal, and other seasonal responsibilities.
• Operate lifts, grounds maintenance equipment, light- to medium-duty trucks, chain hoists, and overhead cranes.
• Partner with customers, supervisors, and engineering teams to identify opportunities to improve facility safety, sanitation, reliability, and efficiency.
• Follow all applicable OSHA, NFPA, EPA, company, local, and federal safety requirements.
• Continue developing technical skills and applying new methods and technologies to improve the facilities we maintain.
