Marion County Public Schools is seeking a Facilities Project Coordinator with a focus on new construction, remodeling, and renovation projects. You will represent the District and coordinate with design professionals, contractors, and district departments to ensure successful project delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in architecture or building construction (Master’s preferred), five years of relevant experience, and a Florida driver’s license with SREF certification or the ability

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, building construction, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience: minimum five years in administrative or management roles in construction.
• Computer skills: data entry and Microsoft Suite.
• Certificates/License: Florida driver’s license; SREF certification or ability to obtain within eleven months.
• Physical requirements: Light work up to 20 lbs occasionally and 10 lbs frequently.

Responsabilidades

• Manifest a professional code of ethics and values at all times.
• Support activities aligned with the District’s strategic plan.
• Perform cost and budget estimates.
• Attend and coordinate project team meetings.
• Oversee project and construction work within the facilities department and coordinate with other departments and schools.
• Coordinate pre-construction meetings.
• Coordinate purchasing and delivery schedules with project timelines.
• Assist with plans and specifications review process.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and openings.
• Administer contracts and purchase orders to vendors for construction and related services.
• Review and approve pay requests, change orders, and change proposals; monitor cost and quality.
• Perform evaluations of contractors and other vendors at project close.
• Facilitate the close-out process including records and manuals; oversee archiving.
• Coordinate District training of new equipment and building systems.
• Coordinate warranty work notifications.
• Assist Facilities personnel with new construction, remodeling, and renovations.
• Assist with cost estimation and project scheduling.
• Supervise maintenance of blueprints, specs, and construction records.
• Maintain accurate records of projects.
• Read blueprints and construction specs.
• Possess knowledge of all phases of construction work.
