Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is seeking a Facility Project Manager to oversee complex district facility projects, ensuring safe, compliant operations and successful delivery from inception to closeout. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, management, or related discipline; relevant work experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis
• Three (3) years related work experience managing facility projects in a commercial environment
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all laws, policies, and procedures
• Manage multiple projects which can exceed a million dollars in value
• Ensure all work is compliant with district procedures and regulations
• Serve as subject matter expert to an assigned building trade
• Collaborate with staff to communicate project status and resolve issues
• Manage facility projects from inception to completion including bid, contracts, and closeout
• Review engineering/architectural plans and provide district-standard insights
• Read and interpret blueprints and prepare schematics and diagrams
• Manage service contracts and conduct site inspections for quality and contract terms
• Assist with facilities sustainment planning
• Maintain project documentation including warranties and manuals
