Job summary

Palm Beach State College is seeking a Facilities Project Manager to oversee college-wide planning projects, remodeling, and renovations. You will manage design professionals, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects align with the College’s standards.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least two years in design and construction management, with strong skills in AutoCAD and project coordination. A Florida driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two years of related experience in design & construction as a project design or construction manager.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional or similar, contract process, documents, and preparation, building codes and accessibility requirements, AutoCAD.
• Skilled at interpreting architecture and engineering construction documents, project management analysis and design, attention to detail while maintaining time management.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and related symbols, communicate effectively with internal and external customers, and manage expectations.
• Regular physical attendance required and valid Florida driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Researches and implements design and construction specifications to meet facilities standards.
• Coordinates with college staff and stakeholders on project needs and requirements.
• Produces conceptual space plans in AutoCAD based on program requirements and site constraints.
• Solicits proposals for design/construction services and other consultants.
• Oversees design and bid documents, and planning reviews for projects.
• Prepares contracts, purchase orders, and reports for construction, remodeling, renovation, and maintenance of facilities.
