Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead complex facility projects at its Central Texas Facility. You will guide initiation through closeout, manage budgets and schedules, and align stakeholders across multiple teams to deliver world-class infrastructure.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of construction experience, strong executive-facing communication, and a track record of navigating remote environments and safety priorities with EHS partners.

Qualifications

• PMP certification required.
• 8+ years of work experience.
• Experience leading construction and quality inspection teams (especially in hybrid matrix environments).
• Proficiency with CMMS software and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Visio).
• Ability to walk around construction sites, climb multiple flights of stairs, work in adverse weather conditions, and stand for prolonged periods.
• Experience writing for - and presenting to - executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing construction projects throughout their lifecycles, to include:
• Developing project plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Eliciting and documenting stakeholder requirements
• Identifying project dependencies, risks, and schedule impacts.
• Reporting project progress (status, risks, opportunities, roadblocks, and KPIs)
• Generating requests for proposals (RFPs) and statements of work (SOWs).
• Preparing, reviewing, and understanding project contract vehicles (AIA)
• Assisting in contract negotiations.
• Monitoring contractor progress via frequent site visits.
• Reviewing and approving invoices and payment applications.
• Evaluating and processing change requests and change orders.
• Assisting in resolution of payment or performance disputes
• Enforcing jobsite safety in tandem with EHS staff and contractor leadership
• Troubleshoot daily project issues
• Creating, reviewing, and improving business processes
• Supporting facilities master planning and company multi-year/strategic planning.
