Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Memphis is seeking a Custodian/Janitor to maintain cleanliness of equipment, facilities and grounds. The role includes cleaning heavy equipment, offices and restrooms, restocking supplies and assisting other departments as needed.

The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail and the ability to work independently or with a team. Some locations may require PIT certification. No formal education is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform heavy cleaning duties and operate cleaning equipment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work with a team.
• Willingness to learn cleaning products and procedures.
• Must be able to follow written/verbal directions.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy cleaning duties on plant equipment and facilities.
• Scrub, sanitize, vacuum, sweep and mop as required.
• Dispose of trash, restock supplies, and prepare facilities for events.
• Move furniture and assist other departments as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE as required.
• Keep maintenance records and monitor supplies.
