Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking a Custodian to perform general maintenance and cleaning of equipment, facilities, and grounds in an industrial laundry environment. The role involves heavy cleaning, moving supplies, and supporting other departments as needed, with adherence to safety programs and PPE requirements.

Typical duties include cleaning offices and restrooms, handling waste, and performing related tasks to ensure a clean, safe workplace.

Qualifications

• Must be able to recognize colors and sizes, count and sort accurately.
• In some locations, certification to safely operate a powered industrial truck is required.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products and procedures or willingness to learn.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively with a team.
• Ability to work independently and follow written or verbal directions.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy cleaning duties on equipment and facilities.
• Scrub, sanitize, vacuum, sweep, and mop floors and surfaces.
• Dispose of trash, clean spills, replace air fresheners, and maintain general cleanliness.
• Maintain offices, bathrooms, break rooms and other areas.
• Move furniture and supplies, assist other departments as needed.
• Follow safety programs, use PPE, report hazards.
