Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking a Custodian/Janitor to maintain cleanliness of equipment, facilities, and grounds in a typical industrial laundry environment. The role includes cleaning, sanitizing, trash disposal, event preparation, and some outside maintenance, with adherence to safety and PPE requirements.

The position may involve moving heavy items, operating a powered industrial truck if certified, and assisting other departments as needed. Benefits included where applicable.

Qualifications

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively with a team.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 90 lbs as needed.
• Capable of following safety procedures and wearing PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy cleaning of plant equipment and facilities.
• Scrub, sanitize, vacuum, sweep, and mop areas.
• Dispose of trash, handle spills, and maintain rest areas.
• Move furniture and equipment between departments and storage.
• Operate a powered industrial truck where certified and required.
• Keep records and restock cleaning supplies; support safety programs.
