Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Orlando, FL is seeking a Custodian/Janitor to maintain cleanliness of equipment, facilities and grounds within an industrial laundry setting. The role includes heavy cleaning, operating cleaning equipment, and preparing facilities for events.

Responsibilities include scrubbing, sanitizing, moving supplies, responding to spills, maintaining supplies, and following safety procedures. No formal education required; physical demands and safety considerations apply.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of cleaning products and procedures or willing to learn.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively with a team.
• Work independently, comprehend and follow written or verbal direction.
• Recognize colors and sizes, count and sort accurately.
• In some locations, be able and certified to safely operate a powered industrial truck.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy cleaning duties and clean equipment using various methods.
• Scrub, sanitize, vacuum, sweep and mop.
• Dispose of trash, clean spills, replace air fresheners and light bulbs.
• Clean offices, bathrooms, break rooms and other areas.
• Move furniture and equipment and assist other departments.
• Operate a powered industrial truck to move materials.
• Maintain records of maintenance and restock supplies.
