Job summary

Florida State University is seeking a Facilities Support member to join the Technology Enhanced Classroom Support department in Tallahassee. The role involves maintaining inventory, performing furniture repairs, and assisting with classroom updates.

Collaborating with the Facilities Liaison and Maintenance teams, you will oversee work orders, coordinate renovations, and help ensure the safe operation of university vehicles. A valid driver’s license and flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or two years of facilities experience.
• Valid Florida or Georgia driver’s license (Class E) or ability to obtain one upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain an accurate inventory of classroom furniture (chairs, tables, lecterns).
• Process and oversee work orders for University classrooms with Facilities Liaison and Maintenance teams.
• Coordinate updates to classrooms and corridors (patching, painting, ceiling tile repair, flooring) and assist with renovations or new construction.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs to ensure safe operation; assist the ITS Property Manager with inventory/documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, operate state vehicles and carts with a valid license and safety adherence.
