Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is seeking a senior-level professional to oversee maintenance trades and coordinate facility operations, repair, and rehabilitation projects affecting NYC Transit stations and facilities.

The role includes guiding capital project scopes, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety and labor regulations. Appointment may involve policy making and coordination with contractors and internal divisions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction trades.
• Experience with project management and maintenance management techniques.
• Knowledge of NYCT budget practices and material procurement procedures.
• Knowledge of safety rules, labor contracts, and other Subways divisions.

Responsibilities

• Identify operational priorities and assist senior managers in developing policies, production goals, and plans to correct infrastructure deficiencies within their area of responsibility.
• Assist senior managers in developing a multi-million dollar budget designed to achieve production goals within allocated budget constraints.
• Establish budget alternatives, allocating resources based on priorities and personnel.
• Provide direction to subordinates and establish scopes of work and performance accountability measures to maintain infrastructure systems.
• Coordinate and monitor access for contractors to protect NYCT equipment and oversee inspections and acceptances of work.
