Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) NYC Transit is seeking a Transit Management Analyst Series (Facilities) to support facilities project management. The role involves coordinating activities during construction and closeout for major public infrastructure projects, monitoring status, identifying risks, and ensuring timely escalation and resolution.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field or
• Bachelor's degree with two years of relevant professional experience in budget, accounting, finance, engineering, management, or program evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction and closeout activities for large public infrastructure projects.
• Monitor project status, deliverables, and outstanding actions to support schedules.
• Identify issues and risks and escalate for resolution.
• Support inspections, walkthroughs, and field reviews during construction and closeout.
• Perform site observations to ensure safety and proper maintenance of barriers and walkways.
• Coordinate with project teams, GSMs, maintenance groups and stakeholders on field conditions.
• Track corrective actions identified during inspections until resolved.
• Process and coordinate project approvals and work authorizations.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
• Ensure activities follow organizational requirements and procedures.
• Support project closeout activities and follow-up on items.
