Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling. The role supports preventive maintenance and ensures operations meet client specifications.

Responsibilities include energy management, compliance with codes, and safe handling of hazardous materials. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with several years of experience and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Universal CFC certification is preferred.
• Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Comply with applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and safety.
• Maintain an energy management program to ensure systems operate efficiently.
• Assist with implementing preventive maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
