Job summary

Access 2 Interpreters, LLC is seeking Dari-English interpreters for face-to-face assignments in Columbus, OH. You will assist during medical and social service appointments, using your language skills to facilitate communication.

This contractor role offers flexible hours and the potential to earn more by taking more assignments. Applicants must be located in Central Ohio, hold a high school diploma, be eligible to work in the United States, pass a federal background check with fingerprinting

Qualifications

• Located in Central Ohio and eligible to work in the United States.
• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a Federal Criminal Background Check (fingerprints) and a 10-panel drug screen (no cost).
• Provide proof of interpreter training of at least 40 hours (e.g., Access Academy).
• Provide Certification of Bilingual Proficiency or pay for a 3rd party bilingual fluency evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face interpretation at medical, social service and other appointments.
• Use your bilingual skills to assist speakers of Dari and English.
• Work as a contractor and set your own schedule.
• Take assignments on a flexible basis; assignments available 24/7/365.

As a face-to-face interpreter, you'll use your language skills to assist others during medical, social service and other types of appointments. Interpreting with Access is a great way to earn money. The more assignments you take, the more you can earn. It's perfect for those looking for a flexible schedule with good pay. Using your unique bilingual skills to help those in need who speak the language or dialect you speak is very rewarding.

What you need to know:

• Your bilingual skills are in high demand!
• As a contractor, you decide your own schedule!
• Assignments are available 24/7/365! (Most assignments are requested during business hours.)
• Take as many or as few of our available assignments as you can!

Requirements

All applicants must:

• Be located in the Central Ohio area.
• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Be eligible to work in the United States.
• Pass a Federal Criminal Background Check based on fingerprints and a 10-panel drug screening (at no cost to you).
• Provide proof of program completion from an accredited interpreter training of at least 40 hours (e.g. Bridging the Gap, Access 2 Interpreters' \"Access Academy\", Court Interpretation, Certificate or Degree in interpretation from an accredited college or university).
• Provide Certification of Bilingual Proficiency or pay for and complete a 3rd Party Bilingual Fluency Evaluation through an accredited testing and evaluation organization.
