Access 2 Interpreters, LLC in Columbus seeks face-to-face interpreters for Kinyarwanda, Luganda, and Kirundi. As a contractor, you decide your own schedule and accept assignments as available, earning based on the work you take.

Qualifications

• Located in Central Ohio area.

• Pass a Federal Criminal Background Check (fingerprints) and a 10-panel drug screen (at no cost).
• Provide proof of interpreter training of at least 40 hours (e.g. Access Academy).
• Provide Certification of Bilingual Proficiency or pay for 3rd Party Evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face interpretation at medical, social service, and other appointments.
• Earn money by taking assignments; you choose your own schedule as a contractor.
• Assignments are available 24/7/365 with most during business hours.
• Use your bilingual skills to assist speakers who need interpretation.

As a face-to-face interpreter, you'll use your language skills to assist others during medical, social service and other types of appointments. Interpreting with Access is a great way to earn money. The more assignments you take, the more you can earn. It's perfect for those looking for a flexible schedule with good pay. Using your unique bilingual skills to help those in need who speak the language or dialect you speak is very rewarding.

Requirements

All applicants must:

• Be located in the Central Ohio area.
• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Be eligible to work in the United States.
• Pass a Federal Criminal Background Check based on fingerprints and a 10-panel drug screening (at no cost to you).

• Provide proof of program completion from an accredited interpreter training of at least 40 hours (e.g. Bridging the Gap, Access 2 Interpreters' "Access Academy", Court Interpretation, Certificate or Degree in interpretation from an accredited college or university).

• Provide Certification of Bilingual Proficiency or pay for and complete a 3rd Party Bilingual Fluency Evaluation through an accredited testing and evaluation organization.
