Carter Lumber is seeking an Inside Sales Rep to be the face of the store, helping customers with product information, estimates, and transactions. You will follow up on online quotes, qualify new leads, and support the Outside Sales team while ensuring great service.

During training you’ll learn our products and POS system; commission-based pay with uncapped earnings offers room for growth in a family-owned, people-first environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in sales or customer service
• Friendly, outgoing personality
• Effective communication skills
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful, but not required
• Ability to be a team player
• Ability to ensure sales and profit goals are met

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in-store with product information and project advice
• Produce estimates for packages/projects and process transactions
• Follow up on online quotes and cold call to qualify new leads
• Support Outside Sales Reps as needed and assist in inventory counts
