Job summary

LEEBOY Inc. in Lincolnton, NC, is seeking a Fab Shop Assistant / Material Handler to support fabrication operations by delivering materials safely and efficiently.

You will load/unload laser cutting equipment, transport raw materials and finished components, and assist with inventory control in a safe, productive environment. The ideal candidate has forklift experience and familiarity with grinders, drills, saws, punches, and other shop machinery, enabling smooth material flow and continuous

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three (3) years of forklift operating experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Previous experience in a fabrication shop or metal manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience operating fabrication equipment such as grinders, drills, saws, punches, and similar machinery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport materials, components, and finished products throughout the facility.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts onto and off laser cutting equipment to support production schedules.
• Deliver materials between the fabrication shop, paint department, production lines, warehouse, and other plant locations as required.
• Handle all materials carefully to prevent damage to products, equipment, storage racks, and facility infrastructure.
• Operate fabrication equipment and tools, including grinders, drills, saws, punches, and other shop machinery as assigned.
• Assist fabrication team members with material preparation, part handling, and general production support activities.
• Maintain accurate inventory movement records, including material receipts, transfers, and departmental transactions.
