Job summary
Linamar Corporation is seeking a Material Handler to safely move and manage materials using a powered forklift within the facility. You will load/unload shipments, transport materials to production lines, and ensure accurate shipping/receiving records while maintaining safe storage and inventory processes.
The role requires experience with counterbalance forklifts, basic office software, and a commitment to safety and continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes and forklift duties is required.
- 1–2 years operating counterbalance forklifts in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic inventory software is expected.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to move materials throughout the facility.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers and ensure proper handling of materials.
- Transport materials to production lines and designated storage or shipping areas.
- Enter shipping and receiving data into computer systems as required.
- Maintain material flow and organize storage to prevent damage or accidents.
