Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift to move materials and components safely throughout the facility.
• Load and unload trucks while maintaining safety standards.
• Verify shipping and receiving quantities and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Maintain shipping/receiving records and paperwork.
• Store materials in designated locations and support inventory management.
• Transport in-process materials to support production operations.
• Conduct inventory counts and keep storage areas organized.

Forklift Operator / Shipping & Receiving Associate

Location: South Charlotte, NC
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Overtime: Must be flexible to work overtime as needed based on production and business demands.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator for a manufacturing facility in South Charlotte. This role is primarily a sit-down forklift position responsible for supporting shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material movement throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of sit-down forklift experience in a manufacturing environment, previous material handling experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area while ensuring inventory is properly organized and accessible.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift to safely move raw materials, finished goods, and production components throughout the facility.
• Load and unload trucks efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
• Verify shipping and receiving quantities and ensure all documentation is accurate.
• Assist with maintaining shipping and receiving records and paperwork.
• Place materials, products, and components in designated storage locations.
• Support production operations by transporting in-process materials as needed.
• Conduct inventory counts and assist with inventory management activities.
• Maintain organized storage areas and ensure materials are properly identified and accessible.
• Follow all safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and operational guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse, shipping, and production personnel to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of sit-down forklift experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, material handling, or warehouse operations.
• Experience loading and unloading trucks.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately complete shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation.
• Reliable attendance and strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
