Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA is seeking a Fabrication Outside Sales Representative to develop and maintain customer relationships while driving profitable sales growth for fabrication products and services. You will identify opportunities, prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and collaborate with internal teams to meet customer requirements.

This role requires a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes, project management, and market conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum of 7 years outside sales, business development, or related experience in metal fabrication or related industry.
• Proven success in developing new business and growing customer relationships.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Strong estimating, quoting, contract negotiation and project management knowledge.
• Ability to build and maintain a network of vendors, suppliers, and fabricators.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
• Identify and secure new fabrication opportunities within targeted markets.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers to increase retention and sales.
• Conduct joint sales calls, provide fabrication sales training, and drive higher-margin projects.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and value-added solutions meeting customer specs.
• Collaborate with inside sales and operations to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor project status and communicate updates; resolve delivery or quality issues promptly.
• Negotiate pricing and contracts while maintaining targeted margins.
• Expand network of vendors and partners to improve capacity and service offerings.
• Represent the company at events and grow brand presence to generate leads.
