Job summary

OPW Clean Energy Solutions, a division of Dover Corp, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing activities in Ball Ground, GA. You will translate the production plan into daily execution, manage staffing, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering and Maintenance to meet SQDC objectives and customer commitments.

The role requires 3–5 years in fabrication or welding, plus 2+ years of supervision.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience in a fabrication or welding environment.
• 2+ years of direct supervisory or production leadership experience.
• Strong working knowledge of welding processes, fabrication methods, drawings, and quality requirements.
• Experience leading production teams in a schedule-driven environment with safety, quality, delivery, and productivity accountability.
• AWS certification or equivalent credential preferred but not required unless needed for technical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity targets.
• Execute the daily/weekly production schedule and recover actions when commitments are missed.
• Plan and allocate labor based on requirements, constraints, and priorities; manage staffing and overtime within guidelines.
• Lead production and tier meetings, review performance against key metrics, and escalate issues.
• Monitor KPIs such as safety, schedule attainment, labor efficiency, and first-pass yield.
• Identify constraints, material shortages, equipment issues, and quality concerns; coordinate with support functions for resolution.
• Ensure adherence to standard work, drawings, specifications, welding procedures, and safety practices.
• Develop training plans and maintain qualification and skills records for workforce flexibility.
• Coach employees and manage performance, attendance, conduct, and development per policy.
• Collaborate with Quality and Engineering to resolve manufacturing/welding issues and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement via 5S, Kaizen, and waste elimination.
