Job summary

Atkore International is seeking a Fabrication Machine Operator for the Cartersville, GA area. You will start up and run multiple machines, ensuring quality production and minimal downtime while following safety and lean manufacturing practices.

The role requires a HS diploma (GED acceptable), the ability to work a 10-hour shift in a non-climate-controlled shop, and willingness to work overtime. Physical stamina and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is desired.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Must be able to work 10-hour shifts in non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor multiple pieces of equipment to ensure quality production.
• Perform pre-operation activities for proper startup and operation.
• Adhere to safety controls, PPE and lean procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement and shop cross-training.
• Maintain housekeeping and sanitation in the manufacturing area.
• Communicate with team and support groups to sustain production.
