Job summary

Atkore, based in Cartersville, GA, is seeking a Fabrication Machine Operator for 1st shift. You will perform pre-operation activities, start and monitor equipment, and strive for high-quality production with minimal downtime.

Lean manufacturing experience is preferred. You must be able to work a 10-hour shift in a non-climate-controlled shop and be willing to overtime as needed. Safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Ability to stand for a 10-hour shift in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Experience as a Machine Operator is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in Atkore’s safety program.
• Cross train in different areas of the shop as required.
• Ensure all processes use safety controls and PPE.
• Operate and monitor multiple machines for quality production.
• Maintain high production with minimal wasted time and materials.
• Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production.
