Job summary

Atkore International is seeking a Fabrication Machine Operator Lead on the 2nd shift in Cartersville, GA. This role involves guiding junior operators, ensuring safe startup and operation of multiple machines, and maintaining high-quality production with minimal downtime.

The position runs 4:00pm-12:30am, Monday through Friday, with a base pay of $25.00/hour plus a $1 shift differential. Overtime may be required and the environment is non-climate-controlled.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
• Ability to stand and work a 10-hour shift in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Experience as a Machine Operator.
• Ability to Read Blueprints, Schematics and Manuals.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in Atkore's safety program.
• Provide direction and guidance to other Fabrication Machine Operators in the department.
• Cross train in different areas of the shop as required.
• Ensure all processes use safety controls and PPE.
• Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
• Communicate with team members to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels.
