Job summary

MAKO OILFIELD SERVICES LLC is seeking a Document Controller to manage and track project documentation for fabrication shop operations. You will ensure drawings, specifications, inspection records, welding docs, and MTRs are properly received, reviewed, and archived.

You will collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Quality, Welding, Fabrication, Purchasing, and field personnel to keep records complete, accurate, and traceable, while maintaining electronic and physical filing systems for

Qualifications

• Previous experience in document control, project administration, or quality documentation.
• Experience in fabrication, welding, construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments is preferred.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to manage multiple documents, revisions, and priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read and understand basic engineering and fabrication documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PDF/document management tools.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems.
• Clear written and verbal communication; collaborate with multiple departments.
• Identify missing, incomplete, or conflicting documentation and resolve.
• Work independently while meeting project deadlines.
• Experience with document management systems or electronic control platforms.
• Familiarity with ISO quality systems or similar quality standards is a plus.
• Experience supporting oil & gas, structural, or mechanical fabrication projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and control project, engineering, fabrication, quality, and inspection documentation.
• Receive, register, distribute, and track drawings, specifications, procedures, revisions, and other controlled documents.
• Maintain document logs; ensure documents are identified, dated, numbered, and filed.
• Control drawing revisions; remove obsolete documents from active use.
• Distribute approved drawings to fabrication, welding, quality, engineering, and project teams.
• Track document revisions, transmittals, approvals, and distribution.
• Collect and organize Quality Control documentation such as inspection reports and MRBs.
• Maintain welding documentation including weld maps and welder qualifications.
• Organize material documentation like MTRs and certificates of compliance.
• Prepare document transmittals and distribute to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist audits by providing requested documentation and records.
