Job summary

JBS Foods is seeking a Quality Assurance role in Grand Island, NE to audit, document, and enforce USDA and facility regulations. You will monitor food safety practices, SOPs/SSOPs/GMPs, and HACCP procedures while collaborating with production staff to uphold AQL standards and report violations.

Qualifications

• Willing to learn all aspects of food safety.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Must work in hot and cold environments.

Responsibilities

• Audit, document, and enforce USDA and facility regulations.
• Perform checks to ensure food safety and quality program compliance.
• Monitor SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs and HACCP procedures.
• Present records to FSIS/USDA upon agency request.
• Assist QA Supervisor with data gathering for investigations.
• Collaborate with production to monitor AQL standards and notify management of violations.
• Maintain lab equipment through regular cleaning and maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesIncludebut are not limited to:

• Auditing, documenting and enforcing USDA and facility regulations.
• Perform checks and verifications to ensure food safety and quality program is being followed.
• Monitor SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs and perform HACCP procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
• Must work with FSIS/USDA and present records per the agency’s request.
• Aid Quality Assurance Supervisor and management in gathering data for investigations.
• Work closely with production associates in monitoring meat product AQL standards and specifications, correcting any deficienciesand notifying management of any violations of USDA regulations or HACCP requirements.
• Maintain lab equipment by ensuring proper cleaning and regular maintenance is performed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
