JBS Foods in Omaha, NE is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support our food safety program. You will audit records, verify compliance with USDA and facility regulations, and assist with HACCP procedures to ensure quality across meat products.

The role requires flexible hours, the ability to work weekends, and strong English communication. You will maintain lab equipment, document findings, and collaborate with production to address any USDA or HACCP deviations.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written English communication is required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, overtime and some weekends.
• Proficiency in documenting and auditing records within QA programs.

Responsabilités

• Audit, document and enforce USDA and facility regulations.
• Perform checks to ensure food safety and quality programs are followed.
• Monitor SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs and HACCP procedures for compliance.
• Work with FSIS/USDA and present records on request.
• Assist QA Supervisor with data gathering for investigations.
• Collaborate with production to monitor meat product AQL standards and report violations.
• Maintain lab equipment with proper cleaning and maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

Location: Omaha, NE

Reporting to: QA Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Auditing, documenting and enforcing USDA and facility regulations
• Perform checks and verifications to ensure food safety and quality program is being followed
• Monitor SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs and perform HACCP procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
• Must work with FSIS/USDA and present records per the agency's request
• Aid Quality Assurance Supervisor and management in gathering data for investigations
• Work closely with production associates in monitoring meat product AQL standards and specifications, correcting any deficiencies and notifying management of any violations of USDA regulations or HACCP requirements.
• Maintain lab equipment by ensuring proper cleaning and regular maintenance is performed
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Key Qualifications, Abilities, and Skills:

• Must be able to work flexible hours, overtime and some weekends
• Must be willing to learn all aspects of food safety
• Must have strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Must be willing to work in both hot and cold environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
