Job summary

Veracity Engineering is seeking a Communications System Engineer – Voice Switching & Recording to support the FAA’s NAS voice systems. The role emphasizes engineering, Test & Evaluation, and technical support across lifecycle stages.

The candidate will work with FAA personnel and contractors to ensure systems meet operational requirements in NAS facilities. The position requires extensive hands-on experience with VoIP, voice switching, and recording technologies, and will involve development of

Qualifications

20+ years of experience with voice switching and/or recording systems in NAS facilities.
Experience supporting voice communications systems within ATCT, TRACON, ARTCC, and/or AFSS environments.
Strong knowledge of VoIP technologies.
Experience with WAN/LAN architectures and legacy NAS interfaces.
Knowledge of power and grounding for electronic comms systems.
Ability to develop, review, coordinate, and conduct test plans and test procedures.
Experience identifying, documenting, tracking, and reporting PTRs and DRs.

Responsibilities

Provide Test & Evaluation support across the FAA acquisition lifecycle (Early Evaluation, Investment Analysis, SI T&E, ISM T&E).
Develop, coordinate, review, and execute voice communications test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
Serve as a senior technical resource and Test Lead for Voice Switching and Recording system evaluations.
Evaluate system performance against FAA requirements and applicable standards.
Support testing of voice systems in ATCT, TRACON, ARTCC, and AFSS environments.
Maintain documentation, test artifacts, project records, and KS N repositories.
