Job summary

Leidos, a Fortune 500 company, seeks a Telecommunications Engineering Technician to support FAA Central Service Area and the LIFT Portfolio. The role involves reviewing databases, drafting surveys, coordinating with Verizon and SSC teams, and developing transition plans for NAS modernization.

The successful candidate will hold a Electronics Engineering degree (or Master’s) with 4+ years of relevant experience and a willingness to travel up to 75%. Public Trust clearance is required for U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering and 4+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance (U.S. citizen or green card holder with 3 years residence).
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suites.

Responsibilities

  • Review FAA databases and provide input/draft Site Survey Reports.
  • Conduct site surveys and draft Site Survey Reports.
  • Coordinate schedules with SSC, ES, and Verizon personnel.
  • Draft Project Risk Plans (PRP) and Operational Risk Management Plans (ORMP).
  • Generate/update drawings, sketches, and artifacts.
  • Draft project plans for site preparation activities.
  • Coordinate scheduled outages with SSC, Air Traffic and Operations personnel.
  • Develop transition plans.
  • Resolve schedule conflicts.
  • Accompany unbadged personnel at facilities.
  • Work with LECs on schedules.
  • Develop briefings/information/reports on District status.
  • Assist District/SSC on interstate service flows, transitions, cutovers, planning.
