Job summary

Veracity Engineering, an aviation engineering firm, seeks a Communications System Engineer – Voice Switching & Recording (Engineer Level 2) in New Jersey to support FAA’s ATC Voice Communications Branch with engineering, Test & Evaluation, and technical support across NAS systems.

The role emphasizes planning, development, execution, and documentation of evaluations, test procedures, and system performance assessments, coordinating with FAA stakeholders and maintaining essential test artifacts.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience with voice switching and/or recording systems used in National Airspace System facilities.
Experience supporting communications systems in ATCT, TRACON, ARTCC, AFSS environments.
Knowledge of VoIP technologies and WAN/LAN networks.
Ability to analyze test results and troubleshoot deficiencies.
Experience developing, reviewing, and executing technical test procedures.

Responsibilities

Provide Test & Evaluation support across FAA acquisition lifecycle phases.
Develop, review, coordinate, and execute voice test procedures and test plans.
Support functional, interoperability, and system performance testing of voice switching and recording systems.
Analyze requirements and test results to verify FAA operational and technical expectations.
Coordinate with FAA program managers, engineers, contractors, and air traffic personnel.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, status reports, and test artifacts.
