F/T Public Health Nurse
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse, BSN preferred.
- Public health or related experience desirable.
- Bi-Lingual a plus.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Training available as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide immunizations in the district towns.
- Participate in disease surveillance, investigations, and control measures including case and contact interventions.
- Provide community outreach and education regarding timely public health issues.
- Assist with health promotion and disease prevention activities.
- Work with staff members on the nursing aspects related to community and environmental health programs.
Compensation
This position has a competitive salary level commensurate with education and experience. This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) and is eligible for the benefits of a full-time employee consistent with the Personnel Policies of the Naugatuck Valley Health District.
