Job Details

F/T Registered Nurse; Brentwood, NY, US

Salary range: $65,000 - $85,000

Position: Full-time, Monday-Friday 10 am to 6 pm

The RN assesses health-related needs of adolescents, monitors their ongoing health and wellbeing, and provides or coordinates health services. The nurse also serves as the health care coordinator and provides on-call nursing support.

Responsibilities include:

1. Monitoring medication and health calls as scheduled.
2. Supervising the License Practical Nurse daily.
3. Scheduling and following up on medical appointments with clients and guardians.
4. Completing supervisory notes twice a month for full-time staff and once a month for part-time staff.
5. Coordinating with psychiatrists and pharmacies regarding medications.
6. Providing on-site health services and emergency first aid.
7. Establishing and monitoring health policies and procedures.
8. Participating in supervision and team meetings.
9. Maintaining documentation and ensuring compliance with laws.
10. Creating and facilitating health education and wellness activities.
11. Training staff on health responsibilities and emergency procedures.
12. Participating in quality improvement and safety drills.
