Position Overview

Registered Nurses at Wellbridge are responsible for delivering comprehensive care within our inpatient medically supervised stabilization, withdrawal, rehabilitation, and reintegration programs. They embody the organization's vision and values, managing clinical operations, patient care, budgeting, and quality assurance. The role promotes a patient-centered environment and fosters collaboration among healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assume charge nurse or unit nurse roles as applicable
• Provide shift reports and keep physicians informed of patient conditions
• Enter and interpret physician orders accurately
• Oversee auxiliary personnel and delegate care activities
• Conduct diagnostic screenings and assessments
• Administer medications, monitor effects, and ensure proper documentation
• Educate patients based on assessments and treatment plans
• Coordinate patient appointments and manage nursing documentation
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and training
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment

Physical Requirements

• Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Sitting for data entry and documentation

Qualifications

• Current RN license in New York
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
• 1-3 years' experience in SUD, ER, or mental health
• BLS certification required; ACLS or other as needed
• Skills in phlebotomy and point-of-care testing
• Knowledge of healthcare standards (OASAS, ASAM, JCAHO)
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Experience in hospital or rehab settings preferred
• Understanding of addiction treatment and electronic medical records
