Job summary

Sunset Ford Waterloo is seeking an experienced F&I Manager to lead the financial side of every deal at our Waterloo, IL location. You will drive production of F&I products, secure favorable lender terms, and ensure compliant, profitable financing.

You’ll desk deals, train the sales team, and own Contracts-In-Transit to protect cash flow while delivering top-tier customer satisfaction in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a high-performing Automotive F&I Manager.
• Proficient in desking deals and vehicle appraisals.
• Strong knowledge of DMS, menu software, and appraisal tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute a professional menu-selling process to maximize PVR and penetration of VSCs, GAP, and ancillary products.
• Build relationships with lenders to secure best rates and fast approvals for all credit tiers.
• Desk deals and structure financing options with the sales floor to own inventory.
• Ensure 100% accuracy and regulatory compliance in deal jackets.
• Own Contracts-In-Transit to protect dealership cash flow.
• Coach sales team to improve deal structure and handoff quality.

The Mission: Lead, Close, and Protect

As our F&I Manager, you are the final checkpoint for every deal. Your role is centered on financial excellence with a collaborative management edge:

• Elite F&I Production: Execute a professional menu-selling process to maximize PVR and maintain high penetration rates for VSCs, GAP, and ancillary products.

• Lender Relations: Build and leverage aggressive relationships with local and national lenders to secure the best rates and fast approvals for all credit tiers.

• Total Deal Support: Act as a strategic partner to the sales floor—desking deals, structuring financing options, and performing professional trade-in appraisals to ensure we own our inventory correctly.

• Compliance Authority: Ensure 100% accuracy and compliance with all state and federal regulations; your deal jackets must be "bulletproof."

• CIT Management: Take personal ownership of Contracts-In-Transit to ensure the dealership’s cash flow remains optimal.

• Team Integration: Provide "turns" and coaching to the sales team to improve deal structure and handoff quality.

What You Bring to the Team

• Proven F&I Success: At least 2+ years of experience as a high-performing Automotive F&I Manager.
