Job summary

Embassy Suites by Hilton Denver Downtown and Convention Center is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support all restaurant operations in the absence of the manager. The role focuses on ensuring a smooth, guest-centered dining experience.

You will monitor servers and staff, supervise service standards, and assist with side-work, scheduling, and event coordination while maintaining purse and daily communications with the restaurant manager.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of related experience in hospitality with this company or another.
• Advanced knowledge of food service principles and guest service.

Responsibilities

• Monitor servers, runners, and staff to SOPs and ensure proper appearance and readiness.
• Supervise guest service and respond to guest signals for service.
• Assist manager to establish and monitor side-work duties and station coverage.
• Maintain cash bank per SOP and keep it balanced and secure.
• Read daily shift sheets and prepare for the following shift; check staff call-offs and coverage.
• Ensure restaurant cleanliness, setup, and proper table/chair arrangement.
• Communicate daily with the restaurant manager about events and house counts.
• Assist managers in menu tastings and staff training sessions.
