Job summary

Westin Hotels & Resorts in Detroit is seeking an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to support daily F&B operations, supervise shifts, and maintain high service standards. You will coordinate front-of-house and bar staff, handle guest requests, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

The role requires prior F&B supervisory experience, strong guest relations skills, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising food and beverage, restaurant, or hospitality teams.
• Excellent communication and guest interaction skills.
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of bar operations and beverage service.
• Experience with inventory management and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily F&B operations ensuring high-quality service across outlets.
• Supervise front-of-house and bar staff during shifts.
• Assist guest requests and resolve service issues promptly.
• Monitor bar inventory and ensure stock levels.
• Run shift operations: opening/closing, staffing, service flow.
• Collaborate with F&B Manager on policies and standards.
• Train staff on service protocols and guest interactions.
• Ensure health, safety, and alcohol service compliance.
