Job summary

Terranea Resort is seeking a Purchasing/Receiving associate to manage the intake of food, beverage, and related items, ensure accurate three-way matching, and maintain storage and paperwork integrity. The role emphasizes professional communication with vendors and internal teams within a hotel environment.

The ideal candidate will have high school diploma, forklift experience, and Food Handler certification, with ability to handle confidential information and work in a fast-paced resort setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality in a busy environment.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Receive all products with POs or addressed to hotel; follow Receiving SOPs.
• Ensure three-way match and proper documentation/signatures.
• Verify deliveries meet specifications and report discrepancies to management.
• Trace lost shipments and initiate proof of delivery documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors for missing paperwork and pricing discrepancies.
• Monitor POs and requisitions in the system and ensure accuracy.
• Maintain all hardcopy purchasing paperwork and inventory records.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of warehouse and loading dock areas.
• Communicate professionally with outlet managers, chefs, vendors, and purchasing staff.
• Assist with monthly storeroom inventories and end-of-month processes.
• Support Purchasing daily operations and participate in departmental training.
