Job summary

Terranea-Resorts in Rancho Palos Verdes seeks a Receiving and Warehouse Clerk to manage inbound goods, maintain storerooms, and support the Purchasing Department with accurate documentation and three-way matching.

You will verify deliveries, coordinate with vendors and outlets, run inventories, and ensure food safety while upholding confidentiality and teamwork in a fast-paced resort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 3 years similar experience in a complex Resort environment receiving food and beverage preferred.
• Fork Lift and/or Pallet Jack Experience required, Food Handler Certification required.
• Purchasing software knowledge and experience preferred (Birchstreet).

Responsibilities

• Receives product with POs or addressed to hotel; signs for deliveries.
• Ensures all product flow is efficient and signed for; three-way match documented.
• Verifies deliveries per specs; communicates discrepancies to management.
• Traces lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents.
• Contacts vendors for missing paperwork, credits, or pricing discrepancies.
• Monitors POs and requisitions in system; closes paperwork.
• Maintains all hardcopy paperwork for Purchasing; signs invoices and packing slips.
• Maintains sanitation and cleanliness of Warehouse and loading dock.
• Communicates professionally with Outlet Managers, Chefs, Vendors, and Purchasing staff.
• Participates in training and month-end storeroom inventories.
• Ensures requisitions recorded with Manager; assists with departmental tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
