Job summary

Terranea Resort is seeking a Purchasing Receiving Clerk to manage the flow of food and beverage deliveries, ensure accurate three-way matching, and maintain department documentation. The role emphasizes warehouse sanitation, strong vendor communication, and SOP compliance.

You will work with Outlet Managers, Chefs, and Purchasing staff to support daily operations, assist with inventories, and ensure proper recording of requisitions in a fast-paced resort environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years in a complex resort environment receiving F&B preferred.
• Forklift and/or pallet jack experience required.
• Food handler certification required.
• BirchStreet purchasing software knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive all product with POs or addressed to hotel, in accordance to Receiving SOPs.
• Ensure efficiency and flow throughout the facility; all product received is signed for, documented, dated, and three-way matched.
• Verify product deliveries per specifications and communicate discrepancies to management.
• Trace lost shipments and initiate proof of delivery documents.
• Contact vendors for missing paperwork/invoices, credits, and pricing discrepancies.
• Monitor POs in system; ensure orders and paperwork are received correctly.
• Monitor Requisitions in the system; ensure paperwork is pulled and closed; address discrepancies with the team.
• Responsible for all hardcopy paperwork and documents presented to Purchasing.
• Directly responsible for sanitation and cleanliness of Warehouse area and Loading Dock.
• Communicate professionally with Outlet Managers, Chefs, Vendors, and Purchasing staff.
• Participate in month end inventories for storerooms.
• Record food and beverage requisitions properly with the Manager.
• Assist Director or Manager with departmental tasks as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
