Job summary

The Whitewater Center is seeking an Assistant Director of Food & Beverage to support the Operations Manager in running all food and beverage outlets on-site. This role leads a large salaried team and a substantial hourly/seasonal staff, reporting to the Operations Manager.

Based on the job scope, you will drive operational excellence, control costs, ensure safety standards and deliver exceptional guest service across multiple outlets at Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications

• Experience at a management level in a fast-paced, high‑volume dining environment.
• Excellent leadership, management and communication skills.
• Strong service skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to adjust operations based on business demands.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and events.

Responsibilities

• Direct oversight of all FOH operations.
• Manage beverage ordering and inventory across property.
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures.
• Hire, train, lead and coach FOH and BOH staff.
• Ensure quality of service and daily walk-throughs.
• Oversee inventory controls, costing and purchasing.
• Monitor labor costs and staffing levels.
• Support P&L reporting and revenue management.
• Enforce safety, sanitation and responsible alcohol policies.
• Maintain presence on the floor across multiple outlets.
