Job summary

Soho House DTLA is seeking a Food & Beverage Manager to lead service quality and daily operations under the General Manager. You will drive profitable guest experiences, oversee staff scheduling, training, inventory, purchasing, vendor relations and ensure the business remains optimized to high standards.

The role emphasizes leadership, forecast and P&L review, and staff development, with opportunities to advance within a global hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a similar capacity.
• Detail oriented, process driven and ability to problem solve in high-volume and demanding fast-paced environments.
• POS (or alternative), Open Table, Opera or other Hospitality driven technologies experience.
• Passionate and influential leader who positively communicates cross-functionally and leads a team to drive efficient and effective best practices through service.
• Passionate about food and beverages trends and best practices and local health & safety compliancy regulations.
• Ability to manage personnel and meet / exceed financial targets.
• Guest-oriented and service-minded as well as flexible and pro-active.

Responsibilities

• Influential leader who proactively manages operations with the General Manager to exceed service expectations and budgets.
• Communicate effectively with members, guests and staff to maintain excellent service.
• Partner with stakeholders to design and implement exceptional menus, purchasing and improvements.
• Identify customer needs and develop action plans to enhance experience and reduce risk.
• Support HR guidelines and recruitment to attract and train high-potential staff.
• Establish targets, KPIs, schedules, policies and procedures.
• Drive open communication and teamwork while ensuring accountability.
• Comply with allergy procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Provide weekly/daily recaps covering service standards, staffing, sales and solutions.
