Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is offering a detailed internship program in Los Angeles designed for college students seeking a hands-on hospitality experience. The 10–12 week fast-track process immerses you in front of house Food & Beverage operations by shadowing critical leaders, attending operational meetings and collaborating with associates and leadership to support daily departmental success.

Qualifications

• Recent or current graduate of a hospitality program preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers and patrons.
• Ability to use point of service computer.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Shadow identified leaders within the department at the hotel.
• Shadow each shift and each position within the Outlet you are assigned to at the hotel.
• Consistently attend department meetings as well as any leadership meetings at the hotel.
• Become proficient with operating the PMS and all other systems used by the Food & Beverage team.
• Utilize labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs.
• Interact positively with customers and take action to resolve problems to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.
• Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
