Job summary

Viejas Casino & Resort in San Diego, CA seeks an Expediter – Specialty to ensure smooth flow of restaurant orders from receipt to delivery. You will verify tickets, garnish, and liaise between servers and the kitchen, while keeping prep areas clean and stocked.

The role requires a Food Handler’s Certificate, at least 1–2 years of related experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual Spanish preferred; 21+; California RBS training on hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Food Handler’s Certificate required.
• RASS or TIPS Certification must be obtained and current.
• California Responsible Beverage Service Training required on hire.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• 1–2 years of related experience or training.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Good verbal and interpersonal relations skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high stress environment.
• Must be physically agile and able to lift large serving trays.

Responsibilities

• Verifies food order ticket with server's name and prepares exact orders for pickup.
• Verifies the quality and presentation of food.
• Expedites orders to appropriate tables as needed and delivers per seat number.
• Keeps prep station clean and stocked.
• Acts as liaison between the server and kitchen.
• Rotates inventory on service line and replenishes expo line.
• Responds to guests and team members with questions about tickets.
• Maintains knowledge of menus, ingredients, and dietary information.
