Job summary

Lalla Grill at The Dunes Promenade in Marina, CA is hiring a Food Runner / Expeditor to join a fast-paced service team. You’ll deliver dishes quickly, confirm accuracy, and act as the link between kitchen and front-of-house to ensure quality and timing.

We require 2-3 years of restaurant experience, keen attention to detail, teamwork, reliability, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Certifications like RBS and Food Handler are required shortly after hire.

• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food quickly and accurately from kitchen to guests.
• Ensure plates are complete, properly presented, and match tickets before leaving the kitchen.
• Act as a communication link between kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Assist in organizing tickets and coordinating timing of orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of expo line and service areas.
• Support servers and bussers as needed to ensure smooth service flow.
• Communicate any issues, delays, or special requests clearly and efficiently.
• Maintain awareness of menu items, ingredients, and allergy considerations.
